PLEASE READ the following before committing to your donation. Your donation is NOT tax-deductible and is NON-refundable. Donations of any amount are not considered an investment in GOLD JADE WAY LLC or any of its productions or content. Donations DO NOT give the donor ownership over GOLD JADE WAY as a whole or any of its parts. GOLD JADE WAY LLC has the right to allocate monies as it sees fit for development, and there is no guarantee that GOLD JADE WAY will move beyond development (though we hope it does!). How your money will be used

ARTISTS

It takes a huge number of people to develop a new musical. Musicians, singers, audio engineers, vocal arrangers, dancers, videographers, costumers and more. We know AI tools can help, but we prefer to employ real artists. Because when a group of talented humans come together, magic happens.

SPACE

Theater rental costs for rehearsals, readings, presentations and productions can add up quickly. Not to mention sound and lighting technicians, microphone rental and all of the other fees associated with a space.

PROPS, COSTUMES & PRINTING

During development, these costs are pretty low. But every penny adds up. Especially when you have six people who need a printed integrated script and score for a staged reading!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Unfortunately, no. We are not a 501(c)(3) so cannot provide a tax deduction. That said, we are looking into a fiscal sponsorship who can accept deductible donations on our behalf. To learn more, please email our producer Laura Goodenow at lauragoodenow@me.com.

  • As noted above, all donations will go toward paying artists, renting the spaces we need for development and covering hard development costs like props, costumes and printing. Our apologies, but we cannot earmark donations for a specific department.

  • No. Your donation does not provide any ownership, percentage or authority over our project now or in the future. The rules for raising money and welcoming investors is massively complicated and expense. At this stage in our development, we are not ready for such a big step. But we are eternally grateful for any donations!
